"Thank you for the wonderful hospitality our family enjoyed while staying at Captiva Beach Resort. The private beach was absolutely beautiful...our family had a great time there. I was also impressed by Captiva's tropical courtyard that our room was looked out on. Our accommodations were very comfortable and immaculate, and everyone made you feel welcome....truly a 'home away from home' feeling. Your resort is a great find! I look forward to returning time and time again. Hope to see you soon."

"Our family has been coming to Captiva Beach Resort for 13 years, and we look forward to each vacation that we spend there. The rooms are spotless, the furnishings are comfortable, the staff is efficient and friendly, and we like the option of having kitchen facilities and outdoor grilling available if we wish to use them. The close proximity to the beach and the swimming pool add to our enjoyment, and the lush and well-groomed lawns and flowering shrubs make us feel like we are truly living in 'a little piece of Paradise.' Thanks for making our vacations with you so memorable and fun."

"Over the years we have stayed everywhere from Marco Island to Longboat Key. About 5 years ago we found (on the internet) Robert and Jane Ispasos' Captiva Beach Resort on Siesta Key. We've stayed there every year since. It is clean, quiet, beautifully maintained, and just off the beach (no roads to cross). The family ownership and on-site management contributes greatly to the appeal of this ideally located and convenient hideaway."

"Captiva Beach Resort is my favorite place to visit in Florida. I've been going there for 15+ years. Some friends of mine recommended Captiva before I was married and after spending a week there I decided to return every year. Now that I'm married, I decided to take my husband there to see if he loved it as much as I do. Well, we have been going every year since. We're addicted. The location of Captiva Beach Resort is perfect. One minute you're in busy Sarasota and just a short trip across the bridge it's like your in a tropical garden. All of the pictures on the website are exactly like the real thing. The resort is immaculate and so well kept. Robert and the family are not only the owners, but they're friends to everyone who visits. I recommend Captiva Beach Resort to all who wishes to visit Florida. It's absolutely wonderful!"

"Shipwreck me here anytime..." were words used by reviewers of Captiva Beach Resort for its recent "very good to excellent" ratings in the 2005 Zagat Guide to the Top U.S. Hotels, Resorts and Spas. Captiva Beach Resort was one of only four selected properties for this years prestigious guide and the only small resort and Siesta Key property.

"I chose the Captiva Beach Resort at Sarasea Circle, that little grouping of mom and pop motels just south of the Stickney Point Bridge. For old-fashioned charm, Sarasea Circle wins hands down. I always send friends there, and they always love it. The Captiva and its six or seven neighbors must be 50 years old but they've been so well kept and renovated that they are quite spiffy and manicured. There are koi ponds and cute little gardens and a shared swimming pool amongst the palms...All the rooms at the Captiva Beach Resort have kitchens and dishes and sleeper sofas...The message is clear---bring the family. Never have you seen such a family-oriented spot."
The Superior Small Lodging Association, June 2004, 2005, 2006

"Southwest Florida, of course, isnt famous for gambling or partying. People come here mainly for the beaches." "The Captiva Beach Resort, near Siesta Beach, attracts vacationers throughout the year
It is a good example of what Southwest Florida has to offer in the mid-range."
Frommers, 2001-2002, May 2005
Chosen by Arthur Frommers Budget Travel Magazine as one of the Top Ten Best Bets.
"Owners Robert and Jane Ispaso have substantially upgraded and improved this older property in the Stickney Point business district, about half a block from the beach on a narrow, closely packed circle populated by other small motels. Every one of the comfortable, sparkling-clean units here has some form of cooking facility, and some have separate living rooms with sleeper sofas. These are older buildings, so youll find window air conditioners mounted through the walls, and shower-only bathrooms in some units. Its very popular with longer-term guests during the winter. Youll get fresh towels daily but maid service only once a week. This and the circles other motels share a common pool area, and guest get complimentary use of beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Several restaurants are a short walk away."
Ladies Home Journal, April, 2002
"Near Siestas Crescent Beach, the most beautiful stretch of all, a charming cluster of small hotels has been restored to their full 60s splendor. One favorite, The Captiva (6772 Sara Sea Circle; 800-349-4131; from $130 to $250), offers clean, spacious quarters just a few steps from great swimming and sunsets."
Pelican Press, July 8, 1999
